What Happens If It Rains? Buggy Tour Weather Policy

Two guests driving biggy in Dubrovnik

Booked a buggy tour and worried about the forecast? Here’s exactly what happens if it rains on Mount Srđ.

Do tours run in the rain?

Light rain — yes, tours run as normal. These are off-road buggies built for dust, mud, and rough trails, so light-to-moderate rain doesn’t stop the adventure (some guests say it’s actually more fun). You’ll get a bit wetter and muddier than on a dry day, so dress accordingly.

When we do cancel or reschedule

Only in genuinely unsafe conditions — heavy storms, lightning, or trails made unsafe by flooding or landslide risk. If that happens, we contact you directly (WhatsApp or the phone/email you booked with) to reschedule for another available slot or offer a full refund, whichever you prefer. You don’t need to guess or chase us — we reach out first.

What to bring if rain looks likely

  • A light waterproof or windbreaker jacket
  • Closed-toe shoes (not sandals — mud and wet gravel are worse barefoot-adjacent)
  • A dry bag or ziplock for your phone if you’re not using a waterproof case

We provide helmets and goggles either way, which help more than you’d expect when rain and dust mix on the trail.

Can I check before I arrive?

Yes — message us on WhatsApp the morning of your tour if the forecast looks bad and you want a live update before heading to Mount Srđ. We’d rather confirm than have you make the trip up for nothing.

Free cancellation either way

Even outside of weather cancellations, our standard policy is free cancellation up to 24h before your tour — see our pricing guide for the full breakdown. So a shifting forecast doesn’t have to mean losing your deposit.
