If you’re arriving in Dubrovnik by cruise ship — or staying at a hotel or apartment anywhere in the city — and wondering how to actually get to your buggy tour on Mount Srđ, here’s every option, including the easiest one most guests don’t know about until they ask us directly.
Where our tours start
Buggy Adventure Dubrovnik is based at the Upper Cable Car Station on Mount Srđ, the hill directly above the Old Town. Both self-drive and private tours start and finish right there.
Booking a private tour? Transfer is already included
If you’re booking a private 2 or 3-hour tour, don’t worry about any of this — hotel, apartment, or port pickup and drop-off is already built into the price. Our own driver comes to get you by buggy, so there’s nothing extra to arrange or pay for.
Booking self-drive? Request a transfer when you book
Self-drive tours start directly at the Mount Srđ summit, so getting there is on you by default — but the simplest option is to request a transfer once you’ve booked: we’ll pick you up directly from the cruise port, your hotel, or your apartment — anywhere in Dubrovnik — and take you straight to Mount Srđ. It costs €30 per vehicle, one direction (up to 4 people)Sidrena cijena (10.9.2026.): €30, and it’s the option most cruise ship guests use, since it removes any guesswork about cable cars, taxis, or timing your return to the ship.
This isn’t a separate transfer company booking — it’s arranged directly with us as an add-on once your tour is confirmed, so the same team handling your buggy tour also handles getting you there.
Making your own way: cable car from the Old Town
If you’d rather make your own way up, the Dubrovnik Cable Car runs from the Old Town to the Mount Srđ summit in about 4 minutes, with the upper station right next to where our tours start. You’ll need to get from the port or your hotel to the Old Town first (by foot, local bus, or taxi), then take the cable car up — more steps, but flexible if you want to explore the Old Town on the way.
Making your own way: taxi or private car directly to the summit
A taxi or private car can also drive you straight up the winding road to the Mount Srđ summit, bypassing the cable car entirely — a reasonable option if you’re not near the Old Town or prefer not to walk.
Why cruise ship guests usually pick the transfer
Cruise stops in Dubrovnik are time-limited, so most guests arriving this way want the shortest, most predictable path from the port to their tour and back — a direct transfer removes the extra legs (port → Old Town → cable car → summit) and any risk of misjudging timing against your ship’s departure.
